My biking days are over I’m afraid. The only thing I would entertain is a Fantic or Garelli sports moped for a bit of nostalgia. Had some great fun back in the day.
Mine too , been trying to find a 1973 Yamaha XS2 650 for a bit of early Sunday morning nostalgia but goods ones in mandarin orange are like hens teeth , If my search ends up being fruitless by the end of the summer .i'll probably go off the boil

They’re a nice looking bike Loz and back in the day (late 70s/early80s) I never saw one. Seen a couple over the years which I’m guessing have been imported from America. The late 70s/early80s a XS650 Custom was popular.

Classic and Iconic at the same time Phil , that look is what us dinosaurs aspired to , only thing thats missing is the Peter Fonda aviators lol, I had 1 year of jumping out the bath and straight onto the bike to dry my hair , cool times
Absolutely Loz me too with a pack of Camel Filters in my pocket did some miles on the Z650 back then.
The Best Times growing up I reckon :)

Well, the new tank has arrived from India and I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality. My original tank would need lining, chroming, painting, knee pads and brackets, badges, tank cap, fuel tap and painting. The new tank came complete with all those bits, and shipping, for £215. True, it’ll need painting but it’ll look lovely when it’s all done. The tank and tinware are, hopefully, going in next week to start the process. I’ll post some piccys when I get them bac.

This is a 6 cylinder Kawasaki but NOT a Z1300...it's actually a Z900 that had two extra cylinders grafted on...dunno why...but who cares

That looks very clean and tidy. It’s a pity about the spannies, but a very nice bike to putter about on.

I have a KH250 triple in the shed that my Dad left me, one of those retirement projects. No idea why I never rode bikes when I was younger but it was something my Dad wanted to get running so that might be the driver.

Oh that is beautiful, please get it restored. The orange side reflector looks 'murican. Even the deep red NGK plug caps look great...

Well, the C15 continues to make progress. The tinware went in for paint last week, the repaired cylinder head comes back tomorrow, and I’ve just ordered the wheel rims and spokes. Hopefully, I should make rapid progress when everything arrives back, and then it’s the electrics. It should be straight forward, but I’m changing from 6v to 12v, adding indicators and electronic ignition, and I’m trying to work out how/where to fit a front brake light switch and warning lights for main beam and the indicators. I envisage a fair bit of smoke escaping from the Lucas loom while I sort all that out. I’ll keep you posted.

I had an S1C an earlier version of the KH250, great bike.
Run great but my own mistake ruined it. I had a gear return spring go and it is located behind the two stroke pump, I replaced it but didn’t bleed the two stroke pump when I put it back together which caused it to seize. It did free off but rattled bad after that.
