After sitting for longer than normal over winter I've had the ABS/Suspension/EPB lights come on a few times, sometimes 45 minutes into a journey, sometimes 5 minutes. Mostly the car drives fine (once it was stuttering but that hasn't happened since and didn't seem to store any additional codes so ignoring that one..) and turning off or resetting with an autel dongle fixes things, generally I just get home and leave it.
First option was the battery, ctek trickle has given me the following:
Straight after disconnecting the charger 13-13.2v
2 days later (not driven) 12.4-12.6v, then 14.5v (13.2-14.2v bouncing about) on startup
This time I did the regen cycle or whatever it's called for a few days, 13.1v again after disconnecting, 14.3v startup and after an hour's drive 13.6v parked up in garage with engine on.
The multimeter is at least the right way round because I've not had any -ve readings (Catman school of electricity part timer)
If I've read the comments right with Eb's car the battery seems ok, depending how much it drops this time after the regen and a couple of days idle.
It's in the car so not sure what model but I have the cheap Autel scanner, it's given me these codes:
6th Feb think it was a battery wobbly too because it was everything having a moment, I think it had sat a while before that one. This morning's drive of an hour and nothing came up, car started and drove fine, no lights except MC Shift mode.. Normally the car is used at least once a week for commute of 45-60min with very little traffic, finding a flat parking space proved rather difficult the first time I left it without the EPB on!
If it is the bearings sensor about to go / gone will it eventually leave me stranded? So I should just get it fixed now rather than keep ignoring? There's too many dates over the summer that it'll spoil if the car is off the road!
I'm sure when I have had battery issues before it's been other warning lights / all the warning lights so does the consistency of those few codes mean it is something else ie. bearings?
Battery is in warranty but was bought online so if I have to return is more hassle (will know for next time!), of course if it's goosed, it's goosed and will fail their tests when returned, I'd just rather be more-sure if possible.
Thanks team
