It’s about 10kg right? Maybe ask all passengers to have a big poo.
indeed, I always find that amusing.
2.5 stone down in the last year though, so there a limit to self improvement
Unless you're regularly tracking your car, I wouldn't bother with trying to weight save on a GT. Not the right car to start with.I prefer to look at it as where else could you get ewquivelant weight savings cheaper?
assuming you already did wheels and brakes
Leave Matt at home and save 90 plus kilosIt’s about 10kg right? Maybe ask all passengers to have a big poo.
Leave Matt at home and save 90 plus kilos
The next time it will probably be Krishna, so that will only save 50 kg.
Yamaha ran an advert of how they managed to shed 5kg from the new R1...then had a picture of a biker having a very large burger and chips...I am minded of some of the biker threads.
'But look, this titanium widget is 200g lighter than the factory!'
'Yes, but you're at least 4 stone overweight' No reflection on the OP!

Second this. Fitted lithium batteries to all my motorcycles. Cannot recommend them enough. Massive cranking power, fully recharge in no time at all. Don’t give off toxic hydrogen sulphide when they fail. Much smaller, lighter, and easier to install. Longer lasting. There are a few benefits of Lithium for me.
1. They are high cyclic, so can be discharged lower and more regularly than a lead acid battery without damage
2. They have a much longer service life
3. The built in battery management system cuts off power if the battery power reduces to the point where it won’t start the car. Meaning you can always start even if it has gone “flat”.
Downside. They are chuffing expensive in comparison.
I do exactly the same, either leave it unlocked or lock in the key ……….I’ve been having a parasitic drain on my 3yr old Bosch which I’ve now pinned down to the alarm siren battery defunct.
Bought one of these Bluetooth battery check things & have been locking the car on the key instead of the remote & hey presto all good after 6 days instead of nearly flat after 3.
Hope this helps if anyone having similar issues.
