If you get a battery, get one with a long guarantee, e.g. 5 years. Chances are it won't last 5 years based on how it's used. Leaving it on a charger permanently isn't such a good idea.

Might wash it in the morning, (must be mad, let's hope the car appreciates it!)

I'd look at another. Bodywork is generally good.
